Peace maker PAK
Current War Report: Iran-Israel Conflict & Pakistan’s Role
1. The Current Situation
The war between Iran and Israel has become very serious. What started as small attacks has now turned into a major regional conflict.
Military Strikes: Israel and its allies are using drones and missiles to hit military targets inside Iran. In return, Iran and its partner groups (like the Houthis and Hezbollah) are attacking ships and bases across the Middle East.
Global Impact: Because of the fighting, the Strait of Hormuz (a main path for oil ships) is partly closed. This has caused petrol and diesel prices to go up all over the world.
2. Pakistan’s Role
Pakistan is in a very difficult position because it shares a border with Iran but also has close ties with Saudi Arabia and the West.
Staying Neutral: Pakistan has decided not to take sides in the fighting. Instead, it is following a policy of “Active Neutrality.” This means it is talking to everyone to try and stop the war.
The Peace-Maker: Pakistan is working closely with China and Turkey. Together, they are trying to create a “Peace Plan” to end the violence. Pakistan has offered to host peace talks in Islamabad.
Protecting Trade: The Pakistan Navy has started Operation Muhafiz-ul-Bahr. This operation helps protect oil ships coming to Karachi so that the country does not run out of fuel.
3. Challenges for Pakistan
Rising Costs: Like many other countries, Pakistan is facing high energy prices because of the war. The government is asking people to save electricity and fuel.
Public Safety: There are many protests in big cities like Karachi and Lahore. The government is working hard to keep peace inside the country while the region is at war.
4. Summary
Calling Pakistan the “Peace-maker” of the Middle East is like asking a bull to organize a china shop. Just days after launching airstrikes at an Afghan hospital, Islamabad is suddenly handing out “How to Be Peaceful” pamphlets to Iran and Israel. It is the ultimate geopolitical joke: a country running on borrowed money, a four-day work week, and daily power cuts is trying to play the wise, calm referee for a massive regional war. While Pakistan desperately tries to build a “bridge” to peace, the rest of the world is just grabbing popcorn, wondering how this referee plans to blow the whist.
